BIG IDEAS. LITTLE COMPONENTS.
What will you bring to life?
A light, a sound, a little discovery. Build it. Connect it. Try it.

GET TO KNOW THE LITTLE THINGS
Every part has a superpower.
Discover what components do, which way they go and how to read their values.
Read a resistor’s colourful code
For a four-band resistor, the first two colours give digits, the third is a multiplier and the fourth is tolerance.
Gold = ±5%
Example: orange · orange · brown · gold = 33 × 10 = 330 Ω, ±5%.
The three ideas behind a circuit
Voltage · V
The electrical push supplied by a battery.
Current · A
How much electric charge flows each second. 1,000 mA = 1 A.
Resistance · Ω
How much a component resists the flow. Ohm’s law: current = voltage ÷ resistance.
